1. Overview

MapJob (“MapJob,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users of our platform to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.

If you believe that content on MapJob infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice as described below. If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may file a counter-notification.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To submit a notice of claimed copyright infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), please send a written notification to our designated DMCA agent (see Section 5 below) that includes all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notice, you may provide a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: a description of the material you claim is infringing, including the specific URL(s) where the material appears on MapJob, or other information sufficient to allow us to locate the material.
  3. Your contact information: your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement: a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement: a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Signature: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and will notify the user who posted the content.

If you believe that material you posted on MapJob was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated DMCA agent. Your counter-notification must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the removed material: a description of the material that was removed or disabled, and the URL where it previously appeared.
  2. Statement under penalty of perjury: a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Consent to jurisdiction: a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which MapJob may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of that person.
  4. Your contact information: your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Signature: your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we will restore the removed material.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

MapJob maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. If a user is found to have repeatedly uploaded or posted infringing content, we may, at our sole discretion:
